Photo taken Sunday, May 22, 2000. Almost 5 months of age. According to Sheila Bowman of Rupik Boxers in the UK I am pretty brave bringing home yet another ' wild American bitch ' carrying the Syrr Run prefix!! Seriously, I really love this girl. If she turns out as good as Tella (Can/Am Ch Syrr Run's Fortune Tella) I will be thrilled.

It is with a very heavy heart and much sadness that I report that I had to make the difficult decision to send my best buddy Shay off to the rainbow bridge.

One of life's difficult decisions. She suffered a severe stroke about 4 months prior to her death. This occurred about 6 weeks after she was spayed. She recovered about 95% from that and then a second stroke happened. There was no recovering from the second stroke. My vet felt that the strokes may have been tumor related. Time will tell as a necropsy is being done. The kindest thing we could do for our girl was to let her go.

She was very happy and busy during the last 6 weeks of her life since the arrival of her new playmate, Baxter.

Rest well my girl.

My sincere thanks and appreciation to Beckie & Larry Horne and daughter Kay Peters for allowing Shay to come live in the wilds of Northern Ontario. She made each and every day of our lives very interesting indeed!!
